Personal Description:

I am an enthusiastic and keen person to work with. I relate well with students and can build a very good rapport. I am a young teacher who likes to listen to the students opinions and I have a very much pupil centred approach to my teaching and tutoring. I am passionate about every subject I have taught so far including religion, english and citizenship.



Teaching Experience:

I have tutored students on a voluntary basis with reading and writing skills, have some experience in working with younger children at primary level, but primarily I have taught for four years in my main subject religious education at secondary level to students aged 11-18. I have a PGCE in citizenship and have also taught this to secondary level including the following subjects: history, geography, sociology, PSHE, business studies and English.



Tutoring Approach:

My approach is centred around the students needs, working with the pupil and tailoring my tutoring and teaching methods around the needs of the student. I am very good at differentiating work and explaining clearly. My strengths are in guiding the student and facilitating them in their learning. I like to create a positive and challenging atmosphere where my students feel confident and engaged with what they are doing. Also I like my students to feel confident in my abilities so they feel secure and feel confident to ask if unsure of anything.
