Frank - Staines tutor

Information About Frank:

Personal Description:

I am a part-time private tutor with a Doctorate degree in Engineering from the University of Cambridge. I have been a College Tutor teaching a number of different subjects (University level) during my Doctoral studies, eg. Electromagnetism (Year 2 module), Linear Circuit Design (Year 2 module), Radio-Frequency Electronics (Year 3 module), VLSI Design and Technology (Year3/4/MSc module).

Teaching Experience:

I am also an experience private tutors teaching Maths, Further Maths, Mechanics, Statistics, Physics, Computing/I.T. and Electronics, since my Doctoral studies. I have plenty of teaching experience and strong computing skills and knowledge of A-level and GCSE national curriculum and specifications, as well as always providing learning tricks, revision advice and examination techniques to students. In order to inspire and enhance the interest of my students in Mathematics and Physics, I teach them how to solve a 3-D mechanical puzzle (Rubik's Cube) in one minute. Most of my students are able to achieve higher grades under my guidance. Above all, I would very much like my students to experience meaningful, interesting learning that they can apply to their everyday lives.

Tutoring Approach:

I am able to help students using step-by-step methods. I always monitor my students' progress and understanding, ensuring sound understanding of each topic. I will set regular homework, past papers and my own question papers. I enjoy having interaction with my students.
