Personal Description:
I am French Student from the French National School in Aeronautics and Space - Highly selective french engineering school, would be equivalent to a First Class Honors Degree in Maths and Physics. I am at the moment doing a Master of Science in space engineering in Glasgow University.
French is my first language, but my English is quite good (106/120 Toefl) and should not be a problem.
I would be pleased to meet you to talk more about my Teaching Experience and my approack to Tutoring.
Teaching Experience:
I have been giving private tuitions for four years in France, A' Level and University level. I also worked as oral examiner in Math and Physics for preparation classes (equivalent to the Bsc. in Maths and Physics) in France.
Tutoring Approach:
Whether you are a "desperate" student, or willing to have top A'Levels, the approach will be totally different. I give first priority to identify reasonable objectives, and work hard with the student to meet them. If your results in Maths and Physics are very low, then we will first secure all the basis and the methods to make sure that you pass you exam. If you are already an average student, but willing to be more prepared to higher education, we will work on more complicated exercises that will allow you to master your subjects.
About "homeworks", I would never make them for you, but would be really pleased to give you a detailed and personal correction of them.
I find group teaching also very efficient, as provided that all the students are really motivated and about the same level.
Two hours sessions is strongly recommended.
