Personal Description:
A professional IT Engineer with a background in IT related disability learning support who is capable of offering up to GCSE level Maths, science, engineering and computer studies support. Essay/thesis proof reading, structuring and editing guidance.
Online tuition is the current focus.

Teaching Experience: Offering occasional private teaching over the years.
Tutoring Approach: Friendly, relaxed and above all patient. It's a great feeling when receiving feedback from tutees or parents stating the positive improvement they've clearly noticed from my teaching methods. It's just great seeing my students getting that lightbulb moment and things just make sence to them when explained in a way they understand.

Special attention to students with learning difficulties i.e. dyslexia (I've worked in a specialist disability support college for 14yrs)
Learning Disability Support assessment from an IT Inclusivity aspect. (10+ yrs assessment expereicne and guidance on software most suitable for individual students. I.e speech recognition, configurtion, typing, dyspraxia, mixture of visual impairement coping strategies.

I'm always keen to hear directly from parents, what issues their child may be experiencing. Occasionally factors outside education affect a childs learning ability. Understanding, gently addressing such issues alongside tutoring helps to focus and motivate young learners so they achieve beyond their initial expectations.
