Personal Description:
I have completed my PhD in 'Smart' sensor system from the University of Sheffield in June 2006. I have a very good academic track record and have achieved excellent grades during my education. As a result I have completed all my education on various scholarships. I am a friendly person and get along well with people of all ages. I have a passion for teaching, guiding and in sharing what I know.
Teaching Experience:
I have more than 4 years of teaching experience and have been teaching from primary through secondary (including Key Stages and SATS) to GCSE, Scottish Standard Grade, AS-A-levels, Higher, College levels, HNC, HND, TEC, Degree, Professional Exams etc. I have been working with different tuitions agencies and also have taught undergraduates while in Sheffield Univ. Other than the subjects listed I also teach following subjects:
Computer Studies / Information Technology
Basic Skills (i.e. elementary Maths, English and Reading)
General Science / Combined Science
Engineering: Electronics, Control systems, Programming (C, C++, VB.6 etc).
Tutoring Approach:
My approach to tutoring is simple and straight forward. I identify the level of knowledge of the student during our first meet and also clearly understand what the student's requirements are and how much time we have. Based on the above facts, I sketch out a lesson plan with the student and upon both of us agreeing, I go ahead as per the plan. Moreover, I believe in interactive sessions and teach with them with as many practical examples possible. Because, I think relating problems with real life examples helps students to understand it better and makes the topic more interesting.
I'm extremely patient and can quickly change my ways to suit the student's skill and learning ability.
