Jon - Aldgate tutor
Information About Jon:
Personal Description:
I am a friendly and enthusiastic tutor, who enjoys helping students of all abilities realise their potential. I am a graduate of Oxford University and UCL with several years of tutoring experience.
Teaching Experience:
I have four years tutoring experience from GCSE up to degree level. I also have one year's experience as a class assistant for a GCSE Maths Class.
Additionally, I have extensive experience in providing written feedback on coursework, essays, and university applications.
Tutoring Approach:
As well as explaining concepts and relaying information, as a tutor I try to encourage a dialogue that is led by the student. When I hear them asking relevant questions, or articulating ideas in their own words, I know that they have understood the material. My teaching style is informed by my positive experiences of the Oxford tutorial system. It is a widely praised system of teaching which helps build confidence and achieve strong results.
Naturally, the student's needs will determine the content and structure of the lessons. So lessons may involve going through the syllabus at a pace which they find comfortable, improving their coursework, or bolstering exam technique.
I can also offer help with university applications, and provide essay feedback.
Testimonials:
Jon is a great tutor! He's confident and very easy to get along with. He has helped me greatly with my economics A level, working with me in a interesting, efficient and effective way. Would strongly recommend him for anyone looking for a relaxed helpful tutor who makes learning and revising enjoyable.

Jon is a fantastic tutor. He helped my daughter overcome several hurdles in developing her understanding of Maths, which has given her more confidence in addressing exam questions. Jon is patient, attentive, and careful to adopt the pace of learning that is best suited to the pupil.

Jon has really helped my son enjoy economics-which was not the case prior to his tutoring. He is reliable and has a very positive attitude to his students. I was very happy we found him-there has been an massive improvement in my son's work.
