Jade - Ripley tutor
Information About Jade:
Personal Description:
I graduated in July 2011 with a first class law degree and legal practice course.
I now work as a Trainee Solicitor.
I believe that having recently been a student myself I have an enhanced ability to communicate with other students and this in turn is advantageous for the tutee as it builds a better working relationship.
I would describe myself as being polite, approachable and friendly whilst also maintaining the correct work balance.
I am available to tutor online anytime. For home visits I live in Derbyshire.
Teaching Experience:
As a recent graduate I am aware of the key factors examiners are looking for. I have been tutoring for approximately one year.
With regards to the Law I have covered every subject which appears on the A level syllabus already in my degree. I believe through my achievement at university in these areas I am very well equipped to provide tuition on these subjects.
Tutoring Approach:
I believe that all too often students do not achieve their full potential through mainstream schooling. Students can get left behind if they don't understand things and are afraid to speak up and sometimes teachers overlook the finer points of some areas which can leave students confused. With having been through the school system not too long ago myself I know that this happens all too often.
Tutoring can fill the gaps that school leaves and help students further their knowledge so that they do achieve their potential.
In tutoring students my approach would be to break down the subjects into separate areas and concentrate on those areas one by one and highlight any weak points in the students knowledge to ensure that these were focused on. Furthermore, this could be further strengthened with the use of past examination papers or past examination questions on any problem areas.
I think that homework should only be set if it is necessary, if the student has shown a clear and solid understanding of the subject then it may not always be required.
