Personal Description:
I have recently completed Ph.D Manchester University. I offer a personable approach, tailoring tuition to match my students individual needs, strengths and weaknesses, aiming to increase confidence in each subject.
Teaching Experience:
I have experience with students with a range of abilities and attitudes to studying. I have helped them achieve better results in their exams by at least one grade. I've worked with OCR, Edexcel and AQA exam syllabuses.
Tutoring Approach:
I adapt my approach to each student's needs and focus on their weaknesses in studying . My priority is helping the student to perform well in their exams, whether it is teaching everything from the beginning, or filling gaps in the student's memory, or helping him/her to better understand, or remember lists of facts, or better exam technique, or answering questions more time efficiently. I'll set short pieces of homework between sessions if required and in the weeks running up to the exam date, we'll focus on working with past papers.
