Information About Michael:


Personal Description:

I graduated in 1989 with an honours degree in Chemistry and Computer Science. Since then I've been employed as a Computer Programmer, Software Engineer, IT Manager, and an Analytical Chemist. I completed my PCGE in 2001, specialising in IT (Secondary), going on to complete 6 years teaching in a secondary school. I left the teaching profession last year to spend some time looking after my 2 year old son.



Teaching Experience:

Qualified teacher with 6 years experience teaching in a secondary school at both KS3 and GCSE levels. I have experience of teaching KS3 IT, GCSE Business and Communication Systems, GCSE IT and GCSE Applied Dual Award for OCR, EDEXCEL and AQA.



Tutoring Approach:

I have a sense of humour and sometimes use this to create interesting and varied lessons. I have experience of being a learning mentor and form tutor too. I am usually able to understand why a student is unable to grasp a particular concept and then teach it in a way that they can understand, apply and remember.
