Personal Description:
I am an experienced and successful assistant examiner for a major exam board for A Level French and have marked German and French GCSE in the past. I am an experienced, enthusiastic and friendly tutor, with a high success rate with GCSE and A level students of French and German. I love what I do, particularly helping to build student confidence and helping them achieve their best, in a fun and supportive way.

PGCE - University of Newcastle Upon Tyne 1998 (Secondary Teaching Qualification)
I am a fully qualified teacher of Languages and English as a foreign language, with 13 years' experience of teaching all levels.

My work as an assistant examiner for a major exam board, has given me an excellent insight into what is required by the exam in order to gain a good pass.
I love languages, teaching, music and travel.

Teaching Experience:

I have taught and supported students at all levels and for different purpose: GCSE, A Level, Holiday French and German, Primary French and German.

I have been an assistant examiner for a major exam board for A level French speaking, listening, reading and writing for the past 8 years, so can help to support students for exams and help them to become very familiar with the techniques and knowledge required to gain a good pass.

I have a 100% success rate with students. Last year, all 3 GCSE students gained A* and A (French and German) and my 3 A Level students gained A (French), and 2 C's (from a grade E/U in German).

I have taught online for Learndirect/myself, am computer literate, and have had success with students learning long distance via Skype.

Tutoring Approach:

I have a fun and enthusiastic approach to teaching and I am able to guarantee success at all levels. I have lots of success with all levels, and have been successful due to a variety of techniques, knowledge of exam papers/common difficulties when learning a language and teaching experience.
I am able to get the best out of students, by identifying their learning needs and styles.

Adult learners: I have a very successful and unique approach, which allows adults to understand how a language is constructed and which allows them to grasp the basics of a language and then 'play' with the language by adding new vocabulary and phrases. You will feel confident wiih the pronunciation of the language from the beginning, which is essential to make progress quickly and effectively.

What my previous students have said:

E - July 2012 - Intermediate Adult: I needed a quick few lessons to help me pass a resit at University, I realised this was a pressure on Sarah to help me pass but I had learnt more with Sarah in a total of 6 hours than I had in a whole year. I would highly recommend Sarah to anybody, Thank you Sarah for your help, you helped me pass with flying colours! E.

R - May 2012 - GCSE last minute help online - My daughter says " Sarah is really friendly and helpful and she gave me lots of techniques I can use to revise". Sarah has been brilliant at giving a late boost just before the exams, which was exactly what we wanted. We found her incredibly helpful and responsive and are sure she has been a major part of boosting my daughter's confidence - her grades as reported by school have gone up two levels in the last two months and Sarah has been a definite part of this

S - July 2011-May 2012 - Adult Casual - After having lessons for a few months now I can say that Sarah is a very effective teacher and has the ability to explain things in a simple and easy to understand way. I feel I have made significant progress in my learning and would not hesitate to recommend Sarah to anybody wishing to learn french.

Hi there, welcome to my page. Please take a few minutes to read the info to see if I'm the right choice for you.
I work full time as an IT Manager for a global firm where I have been working for 17 years. Before that I worked for British Steel, Babcock Water Engineering and Siemens Business Services in various IT support roles.

My teaching experience has been gained from seven years of part time lecturing/tutoring at the Rugby College, Tile Hill College, and Coventry University. I've had thankyou letters from students commending me on my teaching style. I am proud to say that people like the way I teach. However, I no longer teach for these establishments due to the time commitment required beyond the classroom but I wish to continue teaching in a more informal manner.

Teaching Experience:

I have 7 years teaching experience at the following establishments. Rugby College, Tile Hill College, and Coventry University teaching short courses in Web Design (HTML, Flash, Dreamweaver and Frontpage), Microsoft Office (including databases). In addition, I've delivered several informal evening and weekend sessions (via UK Tutors).

Tutoring Approach:

My approach is usually informal but with a defined structure and I will provide bespoke notes to assist with the learning process.

Former RAF officer, and currently Company Director with wide community interests. Teaching Maths is a long term hobby.

Teaching Experience:

30 years as a private tutors, short periods teaching at Icknield and Cilterns Edge schools in Oxfordshire.

Tutoring Approach:

Different to a conventional school approach. I work from the relevance of maths/physics to real life and try to illuminate the subjects by treating them as life skills, and not just academic subjects.

Personal Description:
I am a biological and medicinal chemistry graduate from the University of Exeter, a top-ten university. My degree focuses upon the design and synthesis of drugs and their interaction with biological systems. As such, I have an in-depth knowledge of biochemistry, organic chemistry and inorganic chemistry. I have just finished my PhD in physical biochemistry.

I can explain topics within biology and chemistry simply and am willing to help with anything from understanding topics to coursework. At college, I studied the International Baccalaureate, using both A-level and IB textbooks. Due to this, I can teach both IB and A-level students.

Teaching Experience:

I have experience teaching AQA A-level chemistry and GCSE.

Tutoring Approach:

Very relaxed and easy going. I would give lessons on the syllabus and try to get the student to participate in them by answering questions. We could then revise topics together to make sure everything is learnt and there are no problems in understanding. This would culminate in looking at past papers and going through model answers.

Personal Description:
I am a well experienced native Teacher of Spanish, able to teach any level or age range. I have two language teaching degrees, one of them specifically for teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language. I am also a very enthusiastic person and very passionate about my job.

Teaching Experience:

I have been teaching since 1999 in Spain, Wales, England and Israel. I have had students from 2 to 72 years old and I have experience in Primary, Secondary (GCSE, IGCSE and A Level), Business and Higher Education (Menéndez Pelayo International University in Santander, one of the most famous Spanish Universities regarding Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language.)

My students usually get fantastic grades. This year one of my GCSE students got an award for attainment, she got full marks in her GCSE Spanish exams, top of her school.

Tutoring Approach:

Communicative approach. I try to make my students talk in Spanish as much as I can, as this is how to make the most of every lesson. The best way of learning a language is using it. To propitiate this I try to build a relaxed atmosphere where the students are not afraid of trying to use what they are learning.

I also teach the Spanish Language via our culture, by for example learning about our most famous festivals, our history or our customs. I even teach about our food....and how to make some of our most popular dishes like paella or tortilla española....by actually making them!

Some of other activities you can find in my lessons include singing, watching videos, drama, games, etc...The whole point is to make every lesson interesting and entertaining.

2016 Results: All 11+ students received at least two offers, including City of London Boys, Bancroft's School, Chigwell School and Forest School. One of my clients won scholarship from Bancroft's, one got scholarship from Forest. I am pleased that this is the third consecutive year for 100% pass rate.

My name is Yang and I am a fully qualified Maths and Mandarin teacher (Qualified Teacher Register no. **Telephone Number Removed** working in an Outstanding rated school.I have finished my master degree from University of Southampton with distinction, PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education (Mathematics)) from King's College London. I was working as trader assistant ( yellow jacket ) in a top bank before changing to become a maths teacher. I have over six years experience in primary, entrance exam, GCSE and A-Level maths tutoring. I am always passionate for tutoring and I know how to make students' learning process enjoyable. My strong reputation has been built on my ability to improve my students' varying skills, ability and exam skills. I have unrivaled patience and understanding and I am able to bring the best maths tutoring experience to my students. I also have set up my own website with helpful maths resources for my students.

Teaching Experience:

Currently I am working as a Maths and Mandarin teacher in an Outstanding rated school. I am also working with many Tutoring Agencies as five star rated executive tutor like **Contact Detail Removed**,**Removed By Admin**. Unlike other tutors, I only teach limited number of students to ensure quality. My A-Level students successfully entered top universities like LSE, Warwick University, Imperial College and other elite Russell Group universities. Other students successfully got through entrance examination to top independent schools like City of London School, North London Collegiate School, Bancroft School, Chigwell School and Forest School.

Education:

King's College London
Postgraduate Certificate in Education (Mathematics) (PGCE)

University of Southampton
MSc. in Accounting and Finance (Distinction)

Tutoring Approach:

Quality is everything for me. Recent International Student Assessment (ISA) shows that Chinese students ranked best in the world at maths ( UK is ranked 28th for maths, Source: google "Shanghai students ranked best in the world at maths and science", The Telegraph).

As a British Chinese, I can tell you the secret of Chinese learning maths. I have a unique method of tutoring which can be adapted whatever the skill level and also unique exam techniques. But my first objective is to target my students' enthusiasm for the subject so they will be passionate to learn mathematics. Practice is also essential for learning maths, but a good tutor knows how to design different questions for effective practice. Finally,I usually believe that learning is a continuing process and if I am honored to be your tutor, I can not only help you learn the knowledge, but also master the art of learning until one day, you will be able to help others like I do.

Personal Description:
I have a very high level of mathematical understanding and very good explanation of the subject area. I am intuitive, passionate about the topics I study and aspire to become an investment banker in the near future. I have had internships at global banking corporations which has pushed me harder to succeed in life.

Teaching Experience:

I have had relative experience teaching students mostly at GCSE level preparing them for exams a few months prior. Currently I have a small group of students whom are getting ready for their assessments, therefore, I teach in groups. Also I have taught individual students in the past from primary through to the end of GCSEs. In the experience I have had teaching, my students have received minimum A grade in the past

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to teaching is all about positive reinforcement. I use mini games and different techniques to enhance and enjoy learning. I believe this helps students reach a higher level of knowledge and success. I am efficienct and practical in explaining problems and solutions due to time restrictions. Using a diverse range of structure and use of resources, the student will achieve a better grade than when they first started.

Personal Description:
I am 28 years old and have just finished my fifth year of teaching. The first four of those years were in a successful Birmingham grammar school and have just completed my first year at one of Bath's top school. My own education was received at a mixed comprehensive school in Wiltshire, after which I attended the University of Birmingham where I studied mathematics. I have recently moved back to the area after eight years in Birmingham, living with my wife and 4 year old labrador. Amongst other interests, I am always looking to stretch myself and keep my interest in mathematics and education alive by reading literature (particularly by Marcus du Sautoy) and attending seminars by the Association of Teachers of Mathematics (ATM) and other such organisations linked with various universities.

Teaching Experience:

The majority of my teaching so far was at a school within the King Edward VI consortium in Birmingham, teaching boys in KS3 and KS4, the majority of whom have target grades of A/A*. Around 35% of my timetable has been teaching KS5, both years 12 and 13. I have taught C1-4, S1 and M1. I also have experience teaching a range of abilities, from SEN to A/A* students at two co-educational, OFSTED rated outstanding schools in Birmingham. I also have experience of tutoring trainee teachers preparing for their QTS tests and also those preparing for the King Edward's entrance exam. I have lead the development of ICT/Web based learning for my department and have mentored trainee teachers and NQTs. During my four years in Birmingham I was appointed Head of House and Head of Year 7. The house I took charge of had lost both the sporting and academic competitions every year for 10 years. After two years in charge, my house were the winners of the academic competion (consisting of 15 events) which I believe is testament to my ability for to motivate student. During my first year in Bath I have aided in the running of a successful department and have added experience of teaching further mathematics to year 13 students. The modules I taught were FP1 and S2 and I am due to teach M2 next year.

Tutoring Approach:

I am a firm believer that anyone, of any age and ability, can learn mathematics and learn it well. The key is finding a medium that relates to the student. I am willing to try a range of different teaching methods to ensure that all of my students understand the concepts and ideas that they are being taught. What I will always do is give a relavance and a meaning to whatever I am teaching. That way, I believe the learning is more engaging, more enjoyable and therefore will be of a higher quality. These beliefs, coupled with a laid back and likeable nature mean I create a positive relationship with all of my students, a relationship that is vital for good teaching.

Personal Description:
I am a 19 year old Romanian first year student of Aeronautical Engineering in Imperial College London and I am confident that I will get a 'First' at the end of the year.

Teaching Experience:

I would lie if I would say that I am experienced, given the fact that I only helped a 13 year old student in his 7th grade with Maths during the summer (even though with pleasing results).

Tutoring Approach:

Even though this would be my first tutoring work, I am confident that I will do a good job, with dedication and perseverance. First of all, my purpose is to find out what the tutee demands so that I adapt to his/her needs, in a friendly atmosphere. I am also open to opinions and suggestions regarding my teaching manner.

Personal Description:
My name is Daniele and I am originally from Rome. I have more than 15 years experience as Italian language coach/teacher in the world of opera: I hold a permanent teaching post at the Royal College of Music and coach regularly at the Royal Opera House. I have also worked, amongst other institutions, at Paris Opera, Opéra de Lille, Opera North, Scottish Opera, Welsh National Opera, and the Royal Academy of Music.

Teaching Experience:

I am an experienced Italian language teacher, and teach private one to one lessons either in Hackney, where I am based, or at the Royal College of Music in South Kensington.
I teach students of all ages, levels and aspirations.

Tutoring Approach:

I tailor the lessons to meet the student's needs, ability and aspirations.
When possible I try to follow a textbook, as I think this gives a good structure to our courses. The student would be expected to do some homework between lessons, as this is hugely beneficial to learning.
The aim is to enable the student to 1) read and understand Italian, 2) speak and express oneself, 3) write and 4) understand when listening.
The atmosphere is friendly and informal.
