Tutoring Approach:
Basicaly, it first of all depends of what the student is interested in. For sciences, I suppose I would check the level the student has and also what she/he needs to learn in order to get his degree at school and help out were the weaknesses are.
Concerning French, I could follow a method from school and stress some important points of grammar, add some vocabulary, but I guess the main point is to speak ! I would prefer making the student speak french and see where the mistakes are and then prepare some exercices.

After completing my degree, I gained a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from Roehampton University. During this time I undertook specialist studies into The Importance of Creativity in the Teaching and Learning of Primary Science. I trained at two schools: one in central London and one in Wimbledon.

Teaching Experience:
After gaining my PGCE, I taught at St. Nicholas' School, Church Crookham, where I coordinated Science in the Junior School and assisted in the Music Department: teaching classes, working with ensembles and participating in concerts.

In addition to teaching in schools, I have also worked for the Cove based charity Parity for Disability and the national charity The Newman Holiday Trust. In my roles as a Care Assistant, I have gained experience of working with children who have multiple physical disabilities and behavioural and learning difficulties. As a fully qualified teacher, and from the charity work I do with under 18s, I holds a current, valid CRB check.

I firmly believe that learning should be an enjoyable and rewarding experience. In my role as a classroom teacher I have taught from the Foundation Stage through to Year 6. Tutoring Approach:
On first meeting a pupil I spend time assessing their individual needs and learning style so that I can set up a programme designed specifically to meet the student's needs. I believe that people learn best when they are engaged by a subject which enthuses them. Therefore I aim to teach to the students interests and to make the teaching activities fun. To do this I use a range of teaching tools to add variety to the sessions. In my current position with BTCV, I am working with volunteers who are mostly adults with learning difficulties or mental health problems. I supervise and hand out tasks on an allotment, and teach them basic horticultural and nutritional skills.

About Kate:
I am a qualified and experienced English teacher, with a passion for my subject and a history of success in my field. I have a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in English, as well as a Certificate for English Language Teaching (CELTA). I work with young learners as well as adults. In addition, I have three years EFL (English as a Foreign Language) teaching experience, three years non-teaching employment, and a degree in English Literature and French.

Teaching Experience:
I currently teach English and Drama at an extremely successful school in Norwich. Prior to this, I taught English (language and Literature) at a mixed comprehensive school in Gloucestershire (rated "outstanding" by OFSTED). I am experienced in teaching SATs, GCSEs and A-levels. I also taught English as a Foreign Language for 3 years.

Tutoring Approach:
I tailor my lessons to each student's individual needs. I adapt during my lessons to the student's understanding, listen to their contributions, and act upon them. I believe in a vibrant, dynamic and active teaching style that involves and engages students, creating materials and resources for an effective and successful lesson. My lessons push students to reach their maximum potential and to achieve successful results.

About Jocelyne:
I am a qualified pshychotherapist, hypnotherapist and homeopath. I have taught for many years as a side line both to complement my income and for the joy of it. I am mature but youthful and enthusiastic. I adapt my methods to the need and personality of the people I teach.

Teaching Experience:
I am a mature lady. I was born in France and have lived in England for over 30 years. I have taught French privately, have been a language assistant at Croydon High School for Girls. I have Celta Cerificate obtained at St Giles (Brighton), and I have taught English to groups of teenagers in Spain, and privately in England Spain and more recently Argentina.

Because of my experience especially in the field of hypnotherapy,I believe i have developed teaching skills which yield quick results, even in people who have resisted learning languages.

Tutoring Approach:
My approach is like my personality, patient, enthusiastic and adaptable. I use methods which I have learned through qualifications but also my own methods based on my understanding and experience through my work in the field of human emotions and workings of the brain.
