Personal Description:
Hi, I'm Daragh! I'm currently pursuing a PhD in engineering, and I have a strong academic background in maths, physics, technology & design, and engineering. I know how challenging these subjects can be, but I also am grateful to know how rewarding that they are once things start to click!
Teaching Experience:
I am currently a tutor within Queen's University Belfast, where I teach tutorials & labs for undergraduate students as part of my PhD. As part of this, I have completed the QUB Small Group Teaching course which has equipped me with the skills to deliver lessons for people of all learning styles, and at all stages of your academic journey.
Tutoring Approach:
My teaching style focuses on working through problems and examples to ground your understanding in the real world. I find this is the best way to connect the theoretical bases learnt in the classroom to real world problems or exam questions. We can discuss what format you would personally like to follow, whether that is through past papers, textbook examples, or practice problems that I can bring along myself. So whether you're preparing for exams, struggling with tricky topics, or just want to deepen your understanding, I'd be more than happy to help you reach your goals!
