Craig - Cumnock tutor

Information About Craig:

Personal Description:

I have many years of experience of teaching a range of subjects at schools, colleges and universities. I can offer tuition in maths and sciences at primary or secondary levels.

I have also taught a full curriculum to a number of children who are educated outwith the school system.

I have over a decade of experience of teaching English to speakers of other languages.

I also teach in the fields of biology, especially botany and biological surveying, and earth sciences, to undergraduates. I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

I also teach basket making and a range of other crafts - please enquire if you are interested.

Teaching Experience:

Over the last ten years I have worked as a self-employed tutor: tutoring at forest schools and beach schools; giving science and
mathematics tutoring to children; field botany tutoring; and teaching English to speakers of other languages.
Prior to this I have taught mathematics at James Cook University (Australia), English at the Jiangxi Agricultural University (China), as well as several other subjects at schools and colleges in the UK, France, and Greece, among other places.

Tutoring Approach:

I adapt my teaching to each student's learning style, but in general I teach through giving clear examples, and working through them at a rate that suits the student.
