Information About Aaron:

Personal Description:

I am a trainee solicitor in my second year of training with over 5 years' experience in the legal industry and an extensive academic history.

In addition to attending the Institute of Professional Legal Studies at Queen's University Belfast and successfully completing all of my professional exams, I graduated from Queen's in 2016 with an LLB in Law, thereafter completing my Masters in Violence, Terrorism and Security at Queen's School of History, Anthropology, Philosophy and Politics in 2017.

I have significant professional experience across a wide-range of areas including civil litigation, criminal matters and inquests into cases of death or serious injury.

Teaching Experience:

I provide tuition for the Institute of Professional Legal Studies (IPLS) Entrance Exam as well as assistance in preparing trainees for their time at the IPLS. I also offer tutoring for undergraduate law, assistance with and proofreading of coursework assignments / dissertations.

Whilst at Queen's I acted as peer mentor in academically assisting other students and have significant experience in reviewing and editing coursework. I have experience in assisting students with exam technique and the best way to approach and ultimately achieve a high grade in exams.

Tutoring Approach:

I am flexible in my approach to teaching and happy to work to the needs of the student. Whether this be in providing a one-off short or long session or multiple sessions, i can work to your needs and am happy to provide ongoing support by text, email or telephone at no extra cost. I have set out below my approach and what I can offer as a tutor.

Institute of Professional Legal Studies

The key to the IPLS Entrance Exam is having great exam technique and an understanding of the exam so that you may apply your knowledge in the most efficient way possible. I assist students to first understand the content of the exam in the areas of civil law, criminal law, land law, maths and english. Thereafter I teach the systematic approach which I utilised in sitting my own entrance exam and resulted in an offer of a place on the course in my first sitting.

I can provide past paper exams and answers to students.

Once the student passes the exam I offer an additional service of preparing for the IPLS and setting out what the professional exams entail.

Undergraduate and Masters Studies

For those who are seeking help with undergraduate or masters courses, I can assist with exam preparation and technique and also refresher sessions to assist with trouble learning the content prior to the exam.

I also offer assistance with coursework and dissertations through proofreading and editing. I review and discuss the coursework or dissertation with the student to ensure that they understand the changes made and are content with their work.

A-Level

I can provide assistance to students sitting A-Levels in Law, History, Religious Studies or Political Studies. I can provide students with an understanding of the content of the exam and technique to ensure they achieve their desired grade.
