Joshua - Oxford tutor

Information About Joshua:

Personal Description:

I am an Oxford undergraduate currently studying my second year of History. In reaching Oxford I have gained insight into dilligent and effective studying throughout all years of secondary school. I would be happy to teach any humanities or science subject or alternatively offer general study/revision skills.

Teaching Experience:

During my Trident work experience placement I spent two weeks working as a teaching assistant at St George's school. This gave me an understanding of how to entertain and engage younger children, whilst catering to their individual educational requirements.

I have also helped a multitude of prospecting university applicants with personal statements, admissions advice and interview/ admissions test practice for those applying to oxbridge.

Tutoring Approach:

I like to create a blend of tutor and student led classes. Whilst I would provide material and topics to study, the student would always have the right to introduce any topics they feel uncomfortable about. This approach also extends to my teaching method; I prefer verbal-oriented study, by giving a student the ability for them to explain their ideas it enables more contemplation of their decisions and answers.
