Information About Rory:

Personal Description:

Hi my name is Rory. I live in the Nantwich area and I am looking to help students achieve the best possible results. My passion for teaching stems from helping others who think they can't succeed. There is no better feeling then teaching someone something they think they couldn't do and I want to have that affect on as many people as possible.

Teaching Experience:

I am a fully qualified Mathematics teacher with a Bsc with Hons degree in Mathematics from the University of Liverpool. I have been teaching GCSE across both foundation and higher tiers along with teaching A-Level Mathematics for the last 4 years.

I am fully flexible and I am willing to do both in-person and online sessions throughout the week and on weekends.

Tutoring Approach:

I will use all of my knowledge and experience of teaching to identify the areas of knowledge that need to be focused on. As a tutor, I will come up with a plan of learning to improve the progress of your child through baseline testing to diagnose areas of concern, teaching with modelled explanations and questioning to expose misconceptions and lots of practice to showcase the progress made in learning. I have the experience and ability to suit my tutoring skills to the needs of your child to achieve the best possible progress.

Qualifications:

• 2:1 Bsc with hons in Mathematics from University of Liverpool
• PGCE with QTS from Hope University of Liverpool
• A levels - Maths A, Chemistry B, History B
• Full set of GCSEs ranging from grade B to C
