Information About Judith:

Personal Description:

I am a married woman in her 30's with various hobbies outside my job including reading, crafting and gardening.

I have a BA Hons degree in English and several other qualifications including a PGCE.

Teaching Experience:

I have 10 years experience of teaching English to a wide variety of ages from P1 through to adults aged 70+. I am a permanent member of staff teaching my subject in a College and have delivered After Schools literacy clubs through the Empower project. All of my classroom observations have been graded as Outstanding. Throughout my teaching career I have taught both children and adults with various additional needs.

I have also been an Examiner of English Language and English Literature for several examining boards.

During my teaching career I have tutored primary school children, adult learners and GCSE students for English language. In addition, I have also tutored primary children for Transfer Test preparation for both Maths and English.

Tutoring Approach:

I love teaching my subject which I am told is evident in my lessons. I am passionate about teaching using active learning to engage students which in turn improves retention and results. I also enjoy creating resources specifc to the interests of my students to further aid engagement and understanding.
