Personal Description:
Hello! My name is Dilpreet, a Portuguese living in the UK. I hold BA degree in the field of Humanities and Social Sciences, more specifically in Languages, Literatures and Cultures and Master in Development and International Cooperation by the University of Lisbon. I moved to the UK for the first time in 2016 and since then, I have undertaken various roles both in governamental and private sectors. Along with my job, I have always had a strong interest in teaching and sharing knowledge with others around me! Therefore, I offer tuition classes in my spare time.
Teaching Experience:
In Portugal, I taught English, Portuguese & Spanish to non-native students of these languages. I offered English & Portuguese classes till C2 level, i.e.,university level. In case of Spanish, I taught till C1 level, i.e., advanced user. In addition to languages, I offered lessons in other social sciences related subjects, such as History, Philosophy, Religious coexistence, etc.
Tutoring Approach:
Classes are provided virtually, on the platform to be agreed with each student. The teaching method is defined according to the needs of each student, therefore, there is no single predefined rule. I strongly believe in the thesis that the method should vary taking into account the student's expectations and the teacher's goals!
Therefore, my goal is that the results are achieved by combining the ideas of student and teacher, and the traditional norm of "imposing" on the student the subject to be taught should not be followed.
