Personal Description:
I am a male.
Graduating UEA in 2020 with a Philosophy Undergraduate degree and 8 years of experience in martial arts and the head instructor.
Martial arts and self defence are my passion, and philosophy and critical thinking exersices my hobbies - sometimes played out through fiction, other times discussion etc.
Will be starting Teacher Training officially 07/09/2020 and finishing the following year to make me an official teacher as well as assisting me in my tutoring.
Teaching Experience:
Year of official assistant instructing Martial Arts (with unofficial assisting beforehand)
Tutoring Approach:
I take a wholistic approach once the content that needs to be covered has been established.
Not every philosopher or philosophy is relevant to every student, and not every principle of self defence is going to suit everyone. After establishing what it is that needs to be taught, I try to find the best way to impart that knowledge into each individual as everyone learns differently and will understand better through different analogies etc.
