Information About Annabelle:

Personal Description:

I am in my first year as an undergraduate BSc Geography student at Durham University. I achieved an A* in both Geography GCSE and A-Level and achieved the Sybil Mansell Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement at GCSE.
I am a good listener, creative and positive, with a strong work ethic.

Teaching Experience:

I volunteered at my high school as an Year 8 English Teaching Assistant for one year. In this role, I was responsible for overseeing group work, reviewing assessment marking and some class teaching. One on one tuition involved suggesting how assessment feedback could be applied and writing model answers.

Tutoring Approach:

Each lesson will be tailored to the individual needs of the student and fully interactive. This will involve the student completing any set work which will mainly be exam practice and wider reading. I can help students to understand core physical/human geography concepts, develop case studies and write model examination answers. I will also mark and provide detailed feedback for examination answers, and assist with coursework. My approach involves listening to feedback from students and helping them fully understand what is required from them at GCSE and A-Level Geography to achieve top grades. From personal experience, I can also suggest revision techniques.
