Personal Description:

Hi!

I have a PhD in Molecular Biology and a First Class Honours Degree, both obtained from the University of Nottingham.



Teaching Experience:

I am an experienced tutor with a PhD in Molecular Biology and a 1st Class Biology degree, both from the University of Nottingham. I am currently employed in a local secondary school where I provide 1:1 and small group GCSE tuition. I also have a full DBS check.

I have been tutoring maths and science from KS2 through to A-level and have had some fantastic results with students. One of my KS3 students has increased 20% on their latest school tests after just 12 weeks tuition and other students have been complimented on their achievements or moved up a set.



Tutoring Approach:

I appreciate how hard both GCSEs and A-levels can be and like to motivate my students to achieve the best they possibly can. I like to split work into three sections: firstly, I come up with unique methods of ensuring understanding of complex material; secondly, I help students come up with creative methods of remembering the material, and finally I like to provide help in both exam preparation and technique.
