Personal Description:
Hello, I'm a Lecturer at Cardiff University with expertise in cybersecurity, Python programming, and data science. Over the past 8+ years, I've worked with students at GCSE, A-Level, and University levels, helping them improve their understanding, build confidence, and achieve their academic goals.
As a tutor, my approach is all about finding what works best for the student. I appreciate that every student learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to suit their individual needs, whether that means simplifying challenging concepts, using real-life examples to make things relatable, or working through problems step by step to build their confidence.
I pride myself on being patient, approachable, and flexible. I'm happy to adjust schedules, provide extra support when needed, and ensure the students get the help they need to succeed. My goal isn't just to help them improve their grades, but also to inspire a love for learning and equip them with skills they can use beyond the classroom.

Teaching Experience:
2016-2018: Assisted postgraduate and undergraduate labs and tutorials at Cardiff University, School of computer Science & Informatics. Modules included: Python & Java programming, Web Applications, Computer Architecture, Distributed and Cloud Computing, Data Visualisation with Python, Year 2 Group project Supervision.
2016-2022: Private tutor. I have successfully helped a range of students throughout the years. I have taught and mentored students from GCSE, AS and A-level all the way to university level. I have a good proven track record of helping students with, including the Python programming language.
2021 - 2022: Lecturer at Cardiff University.
Tutoring Approach:
I aim to provide a solid grounding in the subject while paying close attention to the needs of the individual. I understand that every student has a unique way of learning. An initial meeting establishes the student's needs and the direction tuition should take. Then we begin working on a programme of study which focuses on filling gaps in knowledge and addressing any areas of weakness.
A key element in my teaching is that I do not only help the student understand the necessary material, but I teach them how to think. This is an essential skill in the Computer Science field. During the sessions I also try to inspire the students and make them passionate about computing.
