Personal Description:

Hello! My name is Arianne-Unity, I'm an Economics student living and working and London. I'm looking to start tutoring as a way to help supplement my income and also as I have a good level of experience working with children so I think its something I'd enjoy and hopefully be good at! I have been studying Economics at university for over two years now, I decided to study for a degree in Economics as it was one of my favourite A Levels and something I find genuinely fascinating. I also really enjoyed studying English Literature and Language at A Level so that would have been my second choice as a subject to study for a degree in. As I currently live in greater London, I can travel anywhere in London and I can work flexible hours, as well as providing tutoring sessions via skype if this is preferred.

Teaching Experience:

I have completed a number of work experience placements where I performed the role of a teaching assistant, this has helped me to gain experience teaching primary aged children, as well as children older than eleven. I also helped younger students improve their reading skills while I myself was a student at both primary and secondary school. For example, while I was a year five and six student at primary school, me and a group of other volunteer students would help the reception children learn to read and help them improve their reading aloud skills. I also did a similar thing at secondary school, along with the other year eleven prefects wherein we would help students aged between eleven and fourteen to improve their reading and literacy skills.



Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tutoring can be tailored to suit the needs of each individual student. I tend more towards listening to the students educational needs, and I may do this by first asking what areas of the given subject they might be struggling with so that we know what we need to focus more on. I try and make sure that communication between myself and the student is as clear and open as possible.
