Information About Jack:
Personal Description:
I'm 28 years old and currently studying a distance learning undergraduate degree in Intelligence and International Relations. My grades presently sit comfortably within the "first class" category, with just two semesters to go (my mum is indeed proud).
Professionally, I am an intelligence analyst for the British Army. I have experience in management of strategic-level projects within Joint Force Command. If the army did badges like the scouts, my sleeve would be covered, as I have experience of working within a variety of roles, including open-source intelligence, thematic report writing, and presenting daily briefs to a one-star commander.
My ambition is to leave the military by autumn 2019, to study a masters in International Relations at Oxford or Cambridge.
I possess an enhanced DBS certificate.
Teaching Experience:
My teaching up until this point has been within the military world. I have taught new recruits the basics of writing and presenting within a military intelligence context. I believe there are fundamentals to successful teaching, which should be applied in all situations.
Tutoring Approach:
I believe that learning is best achieved in a relaxed setting, when the tutor and student engage well. I poses strong interpersonal skills, which I employ to attain the best results of those whom I teach. I feel discussion allows the tutor to know if the student has fully grasped the conceptual elements, before progressing to written work for each topic of learning.
