Information About Trisha:
Personal Description:
I'm currently working in a research institution for plant biology. I have a strong background in biology and chemistry with a 1st class BSc(Hons), MSc and a year's experience working as a research technician.
I'm great with kids of all ages, very comfortable with kids from primary school to teenage years.
I am a 26 year old female, very warm and approachable.
Teaching Experience:
I have experience in tutoring family members and family friends of ages up to 16. My current position requires me to supervise students from undergraduate and postgraduate levels, as well as help students at PhD level.
Tutoring Approach:
I like to be very supportive while tutoring but my focus is on helping students work through the answers themselves. I find that illustrating things while working through problems can be very effective, and I encourage students to think out loud when faced with confusion. My calm nature helps to ensure that students don't feel under pressure during sessions, which helps to reduce stress when encountering problems.
