Personal Description:

Hi! I am a teacher of fine and creative arts with excellent teaching skills in drawing, painting, photography (including digital and traditional if you have your own darkroom facilities/equipment), Photoshop, textiles (including dressmaking and draping on the stand), 3D crafts (including metal work and jewellery making), and experience in teaching all of these skills up to A level. I have taught in schools for over 10 years and I have a strong record of achieving outstanding results and an in-depth knowledge of the curriculum all UK awarding bodies used at GCSE and A level. I am extremely passionate about art and I will teach you a range of exciting skills in a way which will be engaging and fun for you at the same time as enabling you to hit all of the relevant criteria and improve your grades in both your coursework and exams. I can also teach you how to use a sketchbook creatively and I have loads of great ideas for helping you to develop your style and bring an edge of uniqueness to your work. I am also available to support with portfolio development and presentation, including helping you create a portfolio for college, university or work, from scratch!

Teaching Experience:

I have taught in schools and colleges for 10 years including one of the top London schools. Over the years I have developed a reputation as a consistently outstanding teacher in my specialisms of photography, art & design. I also have experience of assessing exam work for awarding bodies, further enhancing my knowledge of art & design curriculum.

I am friendly and approachable with a fun and enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning. I will support you through every step of the way and guide you through each process in a fun and exciting way, helping you to make real progress and develop your skills in each process as well as explore new and exciting ways of developing your work.
