Personal Description:
I am currently working as Head of Education and Welfare at a high achieving secondary school in London, I have competed a degree in Science (BSc) at the University of Birmingham. I have completed a Masters (MSc) in Physiology at St Mary's University and received my QTS in teaching science from the University of Hertfordshire. I have attended a number of training sessions on the process behind the marking of exams, so have an in depth knowledge on how to attain high grades. I have also experience as a teaching and learning lead within my schools department before recently gaining new role
Teaching Experience:
I have been a fully qualified teacher for 5 years and currently teach GCSE combined science classes on the AQA exam board. I also have 2 A Level biology class on the OCR exam board.
I have written revision guides for my students and also have a vast collection of past exam papers in order to prepare my tutees for success.
Tutoring Approach:
I`m a hard-working teacher who puts the individuals needs first, developing strong pupil relationships to support motivation and ensuring success.I focus on exam technique but can tailor lessons to the needs of my tutees, as I work in a fully inclusive comprehensive school helping students understand the subject in great depth is one of my main strengths.
My philosophy is putting a strong emphasis on problem solving techniques and leading pupils to answers rather then memorising them.
