Information About Melinda:
Personal Description:
I am 24 years old with a 2:1 BSc (Hons) Physiology and Sports Science (PSS) degree from the University of Glasgow. My degree falls under the Life Sciences umbrella and the beauty of it is that I studied a variety of life sciences modules before settling for PSS. I am originally from Hungary and I grew up in Kuwait where I have attended the best English private school before moving to Scotland to complete my Higher exams and the rest of my education. Due to growing up in the middle east and being Hungarian, I speak three languages and I am currently learning two new ones, one of which is self-taught. Despite my higher education being very scientific, I have always had a soft spot for Maths- I was one of those rare kids who was looking forward to maths class and maths exams.
I have had outstanding Art teachers who have created an unbreakable bond between me and my creative side. I paint, draw, design and make jewellery and greeting cards to let off steam.

Tutoring Approach:
I am not a conventional teacher; I don't give homework and I don't expect my students to regurgitate or memorise whatever is in their textbook, nor do I expect my students to believe everything that is written in their textbook without question. The way I have always learned and the way I have always achieved my high grades was by understanding the learning material, asking questions, critically thinking about what was taught to me and solving problems.
I believe that the most effective learning environment is one where there is a perfect symbiosis between student and teacher, no stress and where students look at their teacher more like a friend or a study-buddy.
