Personal Description:

I am a first year student of English Literature at the University of Exeter and looking for flexible work in order to fund my studies. As I have also studied drama, and been involved in many productions I am an open and lively person who finds little difficulty in communicating and making tasks as exciting as they can be. Moreover, being one of seven children of a blended family, I find it very easy to talk to and engage young children as well as teenagers, having three younger siblings that i have helped with homework for years.

Teaching Experience:

For the past year I have been tutoring a girl whose first language is Russian, in order to aid her in her 11+ exams and entrance exams into secondary schools. I tutored her in areas such as spelling, reading, comprehension and creative writing exercises, in order to improve her English skills and use of language.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach is one of friendly openness, there is a policy of all questions to be asked, with no holding back on the part of the student, as all questions enhance understanding, which is the key to efficient learning. With a more relaxed approach, any boundaries between students and I are lessened, leading to a more trusting environment, in which students can relax and be able to learn with more of a sense of ease.

• A* in English, Drama, Chemistry, RS
