The student and I will discuss the subjects of interest and I`ll try to let them figure out the answers themselves rather than me giving them a ready answer. This way they will be ready to answer all types of questions rather than trying to memorise an answer and be flustered in an exam setting if something they haven`t seen before comes up. In order to achieve this, I usually prepare my lessons in advance. I give exercises to the students to complete before our sessions so we can discuss them and identify challenging topics. Once these topics have been identified, I try to explain them through audiovisual measures (diagrams and videos), as well as examples from personal experience, which places the theory in a real-life context which is more memorable. Hi, I'm Frances a friendly retired Science teacher. I am an active 60 year old lady young at heart who enjoy spending time with family and friends. I always have had a passion for teaching and love to see children achieve their potential. I graduated from London University in 1984 with a joint honours in Maths and Physics. I am a student studying Biomedical Science in the University of Sunderland with an integrated placement at the Royal Victoria Infirmary. I have a passion for teaching Maths, Science and English as they were some of my favourite subjects in school, and since it hasn't been very long since I've left my secondary education, I am well versed in those three subjects, science to a further level due to my degree. I teach English, Science and Maths right now to a couple students, however, some of my students have now reached University and no longer need my help. This means that I have space to take in more students for these subjects, though I can teach a range.

I have been taught online as well as helped students online with interview preparation. I found it incredibly fulfilling and much easier than travelling around to places, which can be difficult with those with big workloads or don't have much time during their day. I have created many lesson plans myself for ages 4-16, which include animated PowerPoints, mainly in maths but I am happy to create them for any subject.

I always begin with a game or a riddle just to get thinking cap on and then we will tackle a subject with an explanation and worked examples.

Personal Description:
I am an aspiring Medic currently studying at Imperial College London, I have lived in London my entire life and love all parts of it. I am a judoka training many times a week looking to develop my skill and passion for the sport. I am passionate about learning as a whole and enjoy the endeavour. I teach Maths, Biology and Chemistry as those are my strongest subjects and the ones which I find myself researching the most in my free time. I achieved an A* in Biology and A in Maths and Chemistry, 9's in all 3 of them at GCSEs gaining <90% in both my Maths and Further Maths Paper.

Teaching Experience:
I volunteered with IntoUniversity, for a year, to help kids who would struggle in school to develop their studying skills and their communication. It was a very unique experience for me and was extremely engaging and one of the main reasons I would like to do tutoring.

Tutoring Approach:
I would like to tutor in a way that I have found the most effective to learn. I find that by gaining a deep understanding of the content learning it becomes much easier and memorising it will no longer feel like a tedious chore. Coupled with that, a friendly teaching approach that encourages the student to learn and enjoy the lessons makes it much easier for them to succeed in their exams aswell, I feel when you become passionate about the subject or learning as a whole the entire process becomes much less robotic and as a result a much smoother and enjoyable experience,
