Personal Description:
Qualified teacher in England and currently teaching AAT in AAT accredited colleges. Offers private teaching in spare time. Have passed own AAT exams all in first sitting albeit a long time ago.
I offer accountancy tuition at all levels, I specialise in tuition in AAT but can assist with other qualifications too.
All teaching is carried out by qualified teacher, qualified accountant with a number of years in practice.
Willing to travel.
Also offer structured IT/Computer studies lessons. I have a degree in computer science and have worked in IT for a number of years. The degree is from a top UK university. I also teach spreadsheets at FE colleges as part of the accounting course[s].
I teach face-face 1-1, small groups (discount available) or online via online delivery software.
Teaching Experience:
Many years as a lecturer and a consultant lecturer in AAT. Furthermore, an experienced tutor in the delivery of Spreadsheets for accountants.
I am an experienced practitioner delivering online sessions via the web.
Tutoring Approach:
1) Explain the principles
2) Check learner has understood the principles
3) Set simple tasks, post completion ask specific questions to check understanding
4) Student consolidates and attempts further questions
5) Tutor checks for deeper understanding, by setting questions in different formats and more challenging question
6) Tutor shares exam technique[s] and approach to written questions
7) Student sits selected questions on various topics under timed conditions.
It is all about understanding, understanding and understanding, this way the examiner may ask any question, in any format- on a given topic, the student is well prepared!
