Information About Anastasia:


Personal Description:

My name is Anastasia and I am a violinist, studying at the Royal Academy of Music on a scholarship.
I have graduated with the National Violin Diploma from the State Conservatory of Music in Greece in 2014 and I am member of the European un ion Youth Orchestra since 2013. I have been touring throughout Europe and performed in some of the greatest venues such as The Royal Albert Hall, The Royal Concertgebouw, Konzerthauz -Berlin, The Grafenegg Festival Hall among others, being directed by famous conductors: Bernard Haitink, Vasily Petrenko, Gianandrea Noseda, Xian Zhang, Vladimir Ashkenazy and Krysztof Urbanski.
I have also participated in many competitions including the `Gina Bachauer` Music Competition in 2012 (awarded with high honours), `The Muse International Competition 2013` (Chamber Music prizewinner), The Eurovision Young Musicians 2014 among others.
I have attended and participated in many masterclasses with some of the most famous violinists, such as Maxim Vengerov, Zakhar Brohn, Ivry Gitlis, Gidon Kremer, Midori Goto, Levon Chilingirian, So Ock-Kim, Bohuslav Matoušek, Marina Kesselman among others.
I have been a member of the State Conservatory of Music Youth Symphony Orchestra from 2019-2014 and have been leading the orchestra from 2012 to 2014. I have also worked with professional orchestras such as the State Symphony Orchestra of Thessaloniki, Greece and the Municipality of Thessaloniki Symphony Orchestra, performing with them many times as a soloist.
From September 2016 I am leading the Misbourne Symphony Orchestra, based in Amersham.



Teaching Experience:

I am an experienced, enthusiastic and patient music tutor, teaching:
Violin to beginners or advanced students
Music Theory (any level)



Tutoring Approach:

My approach to music tuition is very adaptable as each student has a different personality, music perception and ideas.
One of my main intentions is to make the student feel comfortable and always enjoy the music they are playing!
The music comes first, and the technique must always be music-led!
