Information About Monika:

Personal Description:

I am an experienced Italian tutor, fine artist and educator with over 20 years of teaching experience across private tuition, schools, colleges, universities and galleries. I hold a BA and MA in Fine Art, postgraduate qualifications in Asian art, QTS and a TEFL certificate.

I offer personalised tuition in Italian, Art, and Craft and Design, combining subject knowledge, creativity and a supportive approach to help learners develop their skills, confidence and understanding. I teach students of different ages and abilities, from beginners to advanced and university level, and offer online lessons.

Teaching Experience:

I have over 20 years of teaching experience in private tuition, schools, further and higher education, and galleries. I have taught Italian and art to learners of different ages and levels, and have also developed educational resources and structured art courses.

My experience includes university-level art teaching, practical studio work and supporting individual learners to achieve their personal or academic goals. I bring together professional artistic practice, academic knowledge and practical teaching skills.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach is friendly, supportive and tailored to each student. I take time to understand the learner's aims, existing skills and preferred way of learning, then plan lessons that build confidence and encourage steady progress.

I use a range of resources, including visual references, handouts, exercises and charts, to make learning engaging and accessible. In art, I encourage experimentation, observation and the development of an individual creative voice. In Italian, I aim to make learning practical, structured and enjoyable, with opportunities to develop understanding and communication skills.

Whether you are learning for personal interest, preparing for an examination, developing your artistic practice or studying a language, I aim to make each lesson purposeful, encouraging and rewarding.
