Personal Description:

I am an outgoing and confident individual with a strong passion for teaching, I have a strong and broad academic record which has provided me with the necessary skills to be an effective tutor. I have extensive experience in working with children and I relish the opportunity to do so on a more focused level.



Teaching Experience:

I have extensive experience working with children aged between 5 - 15 in the areas of Maths & English, derived from my current employment as a Tutor within a private tuition centre. I have gained the necessary skills to deal with children who are academically gifted and children who have learning difficulties.

In addition to my recent work experience I have organised and participated in two summer schools, one for gifted and talented children and another for children with numeracy difficulties. Both summer schools had an intake of 11 year olds and so I have helped ease their transition from primary to secondary school.



Tutoring Approach:

I have a calm approach to tutoring and I strongly believe that a measured method of tuition yields the greatest results. I endeavour to engage the children at every opportunity and relate modern situations to the task at hand as I believe this allows the child to develop key skills in a practical, efficient and interesting manner.
