Personal Description:

Experienced IELTS and GCSE English tutor. With a broad range of teaching experience, from key stage 3 to adult learners and post graduate students, I can provide references numerous past pupils.

I'm a trained Natural Voice Practitioner and teach singing, and am due to complete an MA in Music Performance with a focus on Jazz at RWCMD. I would be interested in teaching beginners music theory on a low fee basis to gain experience.

I love teaching and have a caring approach. I ensure that learning takes place in a relaxed and studious atmosphere. I tailor my approach to suit individual student's needs. I am 51 years of age.



Teaching Experience:

As a Lecturer in Further Education for thirteen years, I taught a broad range of subjects, from English, Law and Study Skills, to Outdoor Pursuits. As a freelance tutor I have taught from Key Stage 3 to adult learners and post graduate students.

I teach singing with a focus on vocal health and building confidence for performance and well being. I also provide poetry and drawing workshops for primary children and singing workshops and tuition for adults.



Tutoring Approach:

I have a student-centered approach to tutoring. I want every student to feel inspired, and to feel relaxed with the subject and with me. I also keep up to date with changes in curricula to be best able to support students' needs.
