A Royal Academy of Music graduate, I have taught piano privately for over 20 years. As well as children and adults from the ages of 4 to 84, I have tutored and mentored high profile rock musicians, film composers and producers.

I taught composition in the music technology department at London College of Music (Junior College) for twelve years where I became department head from 2004--2012. I was mentor on the MA course in music production at Leeds College of Music from 2006-2009, and have guest lectured at The Academy of Contemporary Music and West Thames College.

As a composer and producer I have two decades of experience writing for theatre, TV, film and the concert hall. I have written scores for theatre companies including Hampstead Theatre, The National Youth Theatre, EmpathEyes Theatre and Baraka Theatre, and my music has been synced to many television productions and documentaries including BBC Horizon, BBC Natural World, Top Gear, Sky Box Office, Ghost Whisperer and America's Most Wanted. In addition to this I have worked for the music production house 'Soundtree' on various projects most notably as assistant to Peter Raeburn on his score for the 2018 feature film Nancy.

My concert works have been performed at concert platforms including the Huddersfield Festival; The South Bank Centre; De Doelen, Rotterdam and Kunstmuseum, Liechtenstein, with commercial recordings and broadcasts across Europe.

I have written string arrangements for bands and worked as session pianist for several artists including Cathal Smyth (Chas Smash from the ska band, Madness).

Based in Wantage (Oxfordshire) Jim has been providing drum tuition to players of all ages and level of ability since 2003.

He has been teaching private drum tuition for 7 years from his home studio. Many of his students have been with him for a long time. His teaching is based largely on the Gigajam syllabus and he likes to think that he brings the syllabus to life and makes it interesting and relevant for his students.

In July 2013, I graduated from Royal Holloway, University of London, undertaking a BMus (Hons) Music degree (2.1) with a principle study in singing (1st). I took two gap years before going to university to gain experience in the music and drama fields. I have studied modules at university ranging from Bach to Beethoven and Sibelius to Weill.

Teaching Experience:
In my two gap years I was a gap student at Bedales Schools for a term and then was invited back to cover a member of music staff. Responsibilities included teaching 8-13 year old mixed pupils classroom music as well as supervising music practices. I have a very laid-back attitude to teaching and will teach you in similar ways that I have been taught. Personal Description:
I am a Chinese Student from University of Leicester. My major is Financial and Economic, but I have been learned Guzheng -Traditional Chinese Instrument 10 years and obtain the certification of 10 levels. Guzheng is a plucked, half-tube zither with movable bridges and 21 strings, and has a large resonant cavity made from wutong wood. The performer is able to differentiate between stronger melodic lines and softer accompaniment patterns by using finger plectra on the fingers of her right hand. This can also be used to give effective dynamic contrasts.

A fixture in the London underground DJ community for over 10 years, I recently completed a BA in Music Production at BIMM London (1st degree honours awarded) whilst also holding a MLT in Teaching and Training.

I currently tutor at CM Sounds and Core Arts, both based in east London. Production projects have been varied and exciting with remixes and artist albums released on the original rave era label Kniteforce, and sync remix commissions for UMPG (Universal Music).

Anastasia is a aviolinist, originally from Greece. Anastasia started playing the violin from the age of 6 years old. In 2006 she entered the State Conservatory of Music in Greece, where she graduated from in June 2015 with the Greek National Diploma on Violin performance, winning the 1st prize and a 'virtuosity' award. She holds the distinction of being the conservatoire's youngest violin-graduate ever. While she was studying at the State Conservatory of Music she has has been the leader of the Conservatory's Youth Symphony Orchestra between 2009-2014.

Anastasia moved to London in 2015 and started her Bachelor studies in Music at the Royal Academy of Music, where she studies with professor Richard Deakin. She is currently doing her final year as an undergraduate student at the Academy, expecting to obtain her degree from the university in 2019.

As a student at the Royal Academy of Music, Anastasia has participated in numerous concerts as a soloist, in violin- piano duos and chamber music concerts. She has also been a member of the RAM's Symphony Orchestra performing some of the orchestral masterpieces under Sir-Mark Elder, Semyon Bychkov, Jack van Steen and Robert Trevino.

Being a member of the European Union Youth Orchestra (EUYO) for 4 years, Anastasia has performed throughout Europe under Bernard Haitink, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Vasily Petrenko, Gianandrea Noseda, Xian Zhang and Krysztof Urbansky in many prestigious concert halls including BBC Proms, Konzerthaus- Berlin and the Royal Concertgebouw- Amsterdam, among others.

Anastasia has also played and performed alongside professional orchestras in Greece including the 'State Symphony Orchestra of Thessaloniki', the 'Municipality of Thessaloniki Symphony Orchestra' and the 'Megaron Youth Symphony Orchestra'. She has led the Misbourne Symphony Orchestra in Amersham with success in 2016-2017.

Anastasia has participated in many competitions including the `Gina Bachauer` Music Competition in 2012 (awarded with high honours), `The Muse International Competition 2013` (Chamber Music prizewinner) and the Eurovision Young Musicians 2014 among others.

I am a professional drummer with a wealth of experience playing, from touring internationally to studying at Leeds College of Music. My teaching is flexible and focused on you as an individual, creating a friendly environment to learn the genres that you're interested in. I hold a BA (Hons) in Popular Music Performance, with a focus on pop drumming. My specialism lies in pop and rock drums, and I can teach all styles up to an intermediate level (and pop/rock well beyond!).

I understand that drumming can be particularly intimidating to take up, especially as a beginner. My focus is on teaching in a no-pressure, friendly environment to ensure that you learn the best you can. After all, if it's not fun, it's not going to stick!

My teaching has reading and listening at it's heart. The best thing I have done since coming to London is open my ears to all the styles I didn't like, listen over and over, until they started to grow on me! Music is a cultural and historical lesson as well, it's interesting to see where the popular styles of today came from! Reading will just make you more employable as all the session, musical theatre and holiday camp drummers will tell you! I use software such as Noteflight which allows me to playback scores, making sight reading an easier and more enjoyable process, and meaning I can share scores with students via email. Each student is also given a video recording of what we studied in the lesson, which is a very valuable resource, something they can take away from each lesson, and makes remembering what we learned much easier!

I come from a family where music is extremely important. At school, my first band was a rock covers band where my brother played bass. We played regularly in pubs in Dorset, (you may have heard of the Teddy Rocks festival, we played in the very first festival and have played with my band Last Resort ever since). My first teacher was keen for me to learn how to read music, meaning I could play in school orchestras for musicals. I have 2 Grade 8 distinctions, one from Rockshool and one from Trinity Guildhall, I did the rockschool one first and then thought it best to add the Trinity one! Ciao! I'm Esmond. I'm a writer, composer, director and artist, and prizewinning History finalist at the University of Oxford, with experience of a broad range of learning environments and teaching styles, and substantial industry experience in music and the creative arts. Deeply passionate about my subjects, I'm dedicated to each of my students and enthusiastic about sharing the joy of learning with them. I tutor History, Music, History of Art and Latin to A-Level, IB and equivalent, and English, Design and Technology (Graphic Design route) and Maths to GCSE/IGCSE. I also provide mentoring, including guidance on personal statements, submitted work, admissions tests and interviews, for students applying to study History and related subjects at both Oxbridge and other universities. Currently a final-year historian at the University of Oxford, I hold both academic and music scholarships. I combine these foci with rigorous, comprehensive attention to exam syllabi to ensure that teaching and learning remain carefully targeted towards my students' desired grades in any traditional summative assessments such as school entrance exams, GCSEs or A-Levels.

All my tutoring is student-centred, guiding and facilitating my students in their own learning, in contrast to traditional teacher-centred instruction. I work with each student to tailor lessons to their individual learning style and priorities (whether understanding subject material, exam content, or honing particular skills such as analysis or argument). I place particular emphasis on developing a deep-seated passion for learning in my students and on encouraging them to think independently, critically and originally. I am, moreover, dedicated to seeing tangible improvement in each and every one of my students and will always put in extra effort to achieve this end.

I am an honours graduate in Music from Oxford University. I also studied at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama before university and at Cambridge University as a postgraduate. I can give lessons in music reading and theory and in the guitar (twenty years playing experience). I am DBS checked.

I am a primary teacher with 11 years experience teaching and tutoring across Ireland and England. I graduated with a B.Ed in 2011 and I recently completed a Masters in Education in school leadership. I have taught and tutored all year groups of primary age. In the past, I have worked as the Reading and Phonics leader across Early Years and KS1. I love to support students on their journey learning to read. I get the best from my students with a relaxed, engaging and creative approach.
