Information About Andrew:
Personal Description:
I am a friendly and outgoing 24 year old geography student at Dundee University, with a 1st class honours degree. I have just completed a MSc in research methods and I am predicted to get disctinction. Being punctual and approachable, I have developed a number of different interests. Academically, I have just been awarded funding to start a PhD in October which will specialise in urban geography and anti social behaviour. This will allow me to pursue a career in university lecturing. I have also successfully completed a number of different research projects, including an internship at Hillcrest Housing Association.
I have 5 grade A highers in Maths, English, Chemistry, Geography and Modern Studies and 2 advanced highers in Biology and Chemistry. I have received awards for work in the community and support work.
Outwith university my main interests are football and motorsport. I also enjoy waterskiing, sailing and other outdoor activities. I hold a current driving license and have a car.
Teaching Experience:
I am currently employed as a support worker, which involves teaching the client a number of important skills. Within University I am an active member of the student council and have taken a number of tutorials when possible.
In terms of work, I have taught on a number of training days and have been rewarded for the enthusiasm i bring to the learning environment.
Tutoring Approach:
I am an a approachable person who is friendly, polite, flexible and helpful. I am also very enthusiastic, love geography and looking forward to enthusing the tutee into doing well academically!
