Personal Description:
In April 2012 I gained Qualified Teacher StatusQTS/QTLS. I graduated from Sunderland University with a PGCE. I have a B A Honours degree in Modern Languages (Spanish/Italian/English/Applied Linguistics)
I'm a CELTA/TESOLYL qualified teacher and gained my CELTA qualification at Durham University, United Kingdom. I am also an GCSE Examiner of Italian.
Teaching Experience:
I have been teaching Spanish, Italian and English since 2009 to all age groups. I currently teach Spanish and Italian in the Higher Education Sector and I teach Spanish to Early Years Age groups/KS1/KS2/KS3/KS4 (ages from 0-11). I have taught children in their own home. I have also taught many families Spanish to prepare for their permament move to Las Islas Canarias/Spain. I follow the statutory language framework from the Department of Education. I also design and implement schemes of works, course modules and lesson plans which are fully embedded with the key skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening. Additionally I embed functional skills of ICT, English & Maths within my Schemes of Work. I also teach English GCSE, ESOL, Academic English, Business English and IELTS. I also teach English for the primary sector including phonics. I am also a Secondary Teacher of Spanish and English.
Tutoring Approach:
I believe in learning bit by bit with relevant topics. I will discuss your aims and objectives of learning and will tailor the course to suit your needs. I will provide the relevant materials and I'm available most week nights.
