Information About Hannah:

Personal Description:

I have just graduated from Canterbury Christ Church University with a 2:1 BA Honours Degree in French and Fine Art (Sculpture). I have lived in France for a year, during this time I studied at a French University, and worked in a local middle school. I am very passionate about my subject, I love the French language, and would love the opportunity to encourage and inspire a younger generation to love it also.
I am also a sculptor, and enjoy being creative. I have completed foundation studies in Drawing, Painting, Ceramics and Sculpture, and have taken many theory courses on the History of Art.

Teaching Experience:

I have worked closely with students in school as an Art Technician, taking part in lessons and working one on one with students who need more help. I have also completed a TEFL Course, giving me experience in teaching a foreign language. I am very familiar with current teaching methods, and know what is needed to help young people enjoy a subject.
I took part in an in-class-support scheme when in sixth form, helping in a French class once a week. I have taught conversational English at a French middle school in Lille to 13 year old pupils.

Tutoring Approach:

I feel that part of learning should be being able to enjoy what you're learning about. I like to make my lessons fun, yet informative. On a one-to-one basis I will concentrate on specific weaknesses and help to find new ways of making these areas stronger. I think grammar is key to learning the French language, and therefore this is an important aspect of my tutoring.
