Rebecca - Aberdeen tutor

Information About Rebecca:

Personal Description:

I am an enthusiastic teacher with an active approach to learning. I enjoy my job and have endless patience. I believe that every child should fulfil their own potential and that all children are individuals and should be taught as such. I strive to increase every child's confidence by celebrating their success no matter how small. I have a wealth of my own materials which I can use when tutoring your child.

Teaching Experience:

I gained my PGCE in 2005 and have worked in a variety of schools (state and private) for the past three years. I have gained experience of teaching at all stages but have most experience with middle and upper stages (P4 - 7). I currently work as a Specialist ICT teacher (teaching computing) in various primary schools. I have had experience of a range of learning difficulties and have managed successfully to put strategies in place to help these children reach their potential.

Tutoring Approach:

I am patient and enthusiastic. I believe in working from previous knowledge and teaching pupils in a learning context which is meaningful to them. I think it is important to involve the child and their parent (s) in the tutoring process and to identify the childs sucesses and where there are areas for improvement.
