Personal Description:
I am an art teacher and practising artist. I currently concentrate on painting in my own work but I have plenty of experience working with ceramics, drawing, sculpture/3D, digital imaging, film, animation, drawing and printmaking as well as art history. I trained at The Ruskin School of Drawing, Oxford University and Byam Shaw School of Art, London Institute.
Teaching Experience:
I have taught in a Secondary school in Oxfordshire for 3 years now. Previously I worked at a Private tuition college in Cambridge where I tutored GCSE, A Level and Foundation Degree students in painting and printmaking, dissertation writing and UCAS entry.
Tutoring Approach:
I have a friendly and relaxed approach to my students and a lot of my tuition in Art with older students is based on discussion and exploration of ideas. I have a lot of practical knowledge within my subject area and would be able to introduce new techniques and help students to refine the techniques that they already know and use.
