Information About Samantha:


Personal Description:

I am 17 years old and i achieved an A in my maths GCSE last year. I scored a level 8 on my year 9 SATs and enjoy teaching others maths. I am very patient and have experience in helping children with reading and writing skills. I have helped in primary schools teaching children to read on a one to one basis. I also attained a place at Bournemouth School for Girls, the local grammar school in my area, so know how stressful it is with the entrance exams! I could help with those as well.
I am currently at Bournemouth & Poole College studying art, childcare, english, maths, ict, tourism and catering.



Teaching Experience:

I have taught in a mainstream infant school and also in a special needs primary school from reception to year 4. I have experience in reading and writing skills, combined science for the younger years and maths up to GCSE level.



Tutoring Approach:

One to one is great for children because they can have all your attention and not feel scared to put their hand up in class. I would start off slowly, introducing myself to the child for one lesson (free of charge) and then we could discuss their problem areas and assess how they learn best, whether visual, audio etc
