Personal Description:

Qualified teacher with over 20 years experience in schools including a high achieving independent school. I teach A level economics and business. I have PGCE & QTS teaching qualifications and Masters in Business (MBA) and industry experience. I specialise in exam techniques and improving target grades of students. My teaching approach is customised to suit individual needs, as an experienced teacher I am able to assess and understand the student's current level at the initial meeting and plan work targeting the areas that need improvements.

Teaching Experience:

I have extensive knowledge and experience in teaching advanced level Economics and Business courses for the 3 major UK exam boards, Edexcel, AQA and OCR. I have a proven track record in delivering results and excellent client references. I am up to date with changes taking place within A level specifications and have a stock of past papers and mark schemes for all 3 exam boards.
I have a proven track record and 98% of my students achieved A*, A or B grades. Tutoring Approach:

I specialise in exam techniques and improving analytical and evaluation skills. My services are customised to suit individual needs of the student and each student is recommended a plan of action to achieve their targets. All my previous students have been moved up from their target grades and students are guaranteed to achieve A*, A-B grades depending on their level of ability.

My method is to break challenging topics in to bite-size sections and link these with examination questions in order to develop an understanding of examination board requirements. I am energetic and enthusiastic and up to date with current business and economics news.
