Personal Description:
I am a French native, and after studying languages (English & Spanish) at university in France came to live in England in 1983. I stopped teaching to bring up my family, and then started again a number of years ago when my children were older.
Teaching Experience:
Class and one-to-one French tuition for all ages from primary to 80+. Over the past 8 years or so I have mainly focused on one-to-one tutoring of children (primary, GCSE, AS, A2 and International Baccalaureate) and of adults at all levels from beginners to advanced, both for business and recreation (including owners of second homes in France). In the 1980s I specialised in preparing military personnel for overseas postings to francophone countries.
Tutoring Approach:
I tailor one-to-one classes to the individual's needs, abilities and objectives, and cover the range of listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. I use a wide range of methods and materials, including Skoldo, Tricolore, Elan, BBC French Experience, CLE International, Bien-Dire and past examination papers. I also provide one-to-two classes for couples or children if requested.
I tutor on weekdays only.
