I was a governor in a primary and then a grammar school for many years before entering the teaching profession. I was on the GTP training course for Secondary Mathematics at London South Bank University before deciding to go down the tutoring route. My aim is to help children become independent, confident learners who are not afraid of numbers. Everyone can do Maths!

I teach maths at the following levels:
GCSE
A Level
Adult Leaners

Teaching Experience:
I am now tutoring both face to face or online.

I have now built up a lot of experience helping students prepare for GCSE and A level exams. I cover all levels and topics up to Further Maths in year 13. This includes mechanics and Statistics. I also work with adults who are doing numeracy or other work related maths exams.

Many pupils find the transfer from primary to secondary schooling academically challenging. I can explain the underlying mathematical concepts and show them how to approach questions so that they can get into the maths set they deserve. For older pupils I will build their confidence by presenting topics in a variety of ways to find one that makes sense to them. I will help the students improve their exam techniques.
