Hi, I have always had a love for languages and would love to instil you with the same enthusiasm. After having lived abroad as part of my degree, I then graduated with a BA Hons Degree Class 2.1 in Modern Languages (German, French and Italian), after which I obtained my Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE). In the critical examination of literature, particular attention is given to structure and developing a mature, yet fresh, personal response. I tend to adopt a modelling approach. Effectively, the tutee and I draft a first core essay on a given text, say, for example, 'Romeo and Juliet' Using this exemplar, the tutee is then assigned further essay questions, drawing upon this core essay as a guideline. Support is given throughout the writing process and constructive feedback is offered in the form of stage-appropriate targets to ensure progress.

I am Stefanos, I am a primary school teacher, special needs teacher and a Greek language tutor currently working in Bristol, England. I am coming from Patras, Greece, where I spent most of my childhood and early adult life. I am passionate in supporting people of all ages to achieve their personal educational goals whatever these may be.

I have been teaching in Special Education for 6 years supporting students aged from 7 to 16 years old with a range of learning, mental health and medical difficulties. The last couple years I am privileged enough to work in Primary Education and in teaching Greek as a second language.

For the last 10 years, I have been working as a Greek language tutor. Tutoring Approach:
My teaching method focuses on providing a comfortable environment for my students to learn in. I aim to provide various means to get my point across to students, whether it is graphically, exercises or past exam questions, this provides a wider scope of understanding for the student. I am also very interested to know what the topics are being studied at school or University, and support this with exercises and more challenging questions in my lessons. I relish the opportunity to teach and I always motivate and encourage my students to improve further. Having taught students of many age groups and backgrounds, I understand and accept that lessons need to be taught differently to different people. Using the internet as means of conducting my tuition online has allowed for me to reach and educate students from a greater array of educational backgrounds Therefore my adaptability is paramount in order to provide my students a comfortable environment in which to study in.

I identify areas of weakness in the specification and work on this. I then work with my students to consolidate and extend their knowledge via exam style questions and worded questions. I then work with them on past papers and help students identify their areas of weakness and work on this with them. This best prepares them for the exam.
