In the classroom, students can often struggle if they are not receiving the individual support they need and, as a tutor, I have a unique opportunity to give this.

As a tutor, my first task is to ensure that each student believes they can succeed. I pride myself on my ability to connect with my students, work out what they need in order to understand the content and create a safe environment where they are not afraid to make mistakes. I show them that mistakes are learning points in Maths and the path to success is to persevere through these and adapt your knowledge as you progress through each topic. As a teacher and a tutor, I am able to guide students through this process.
