Now, with over 20 years of teaching experience, I privately tutor a range of school-aged pupils from 6 to 16, both native English speakers and those for whom English is a second language. I am passionate about teaching languages, mostly orientals, and also coaching martial arts and self defence. I coach the IWTA-EWTO-WingTsun 梁挺詠春拳.

In the first 12 weeks of the beginners program you'll learn the basics for a proactive and "pre-emptive" self defence and to deal with the most "common" types of attacks. This is the Blitz-Defence program.

Afterward you start a more sophisticated training program where you learn to deal with an aggressor in a less violent way by using our unique tactile skills training method.

I can assure you, you will terminate every lesson by learning something new and useful! All I need is your concentration.

I have also got the experience of teaching accountancy units for university level students for University of Chester and Metropolitan Manchester University (MMU).

Tutoring Approach:
My approach towards teaching is based on the principle of "Student Oriented". I believe that every student has their own particular way of learning so I adapt my teaching technique as per the requirement of each individual. The focus of each lesson is on getting excellent score in exams.

I have a very flexible and organised approach towards teaching and have vast resources to deliver the lesson ensuring complete understanding of the topic taught.

Being a teacher and exam marker, I fully understand the exam preparation criteria and can deliver the topic as per exam requirements. My aim for students is always to prepare them to achieve the exam with distinction grade. I believe in providing more and more practice to the students about exam style questions and developing their problem solving and analysis skills.

Personal Description:
I have worked as a full-time self-employed mathematics tutor since 2012 providing one-to-one home tuition for hundreds of students of GCSE and IGCSE Mathematics, A-Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics, Sixth Term Examination Papers (STEP), and Mathematics Admissions Tests (MAT). I also provide help and support for adult and return-learners of mathematics.

I am very passionate about mathematics; I continue to develop my own knowledge and understanding of the subject so that I can be the best tutor that I can be for every one of the students that I tutor. I am particularly interested in the history and philosophy of mathematics as well as language learning and linguistics. I aim to pass on my enthusiasm for mathematics to those that I provide tuition for and to help all of my students achieve their true potential.

Teaching Experience:
I have thousands of hours of experience providing tuition for hundreds of students of mathematics and further mathematics for GCSE (including IGCSE), A-Level and Undergraduate Level. I have first-hand experience of providing tuition for Sixth Term Examination Papers (STEP), Advanced Extension Award in Mathematics (AEA) and Mathematics Admissions Tests (MAT). I have experience with tutoring for various exam boards including Edexcel, AQA, OCR and MEI.

I am pleased to have provided support for many students who have gone on to further study in Mathematics, Philosophy, Computer Science and other subjects at high-ranking universities including Oxford, Leeds, Warwick and Bath.

Tutoring Approach:
I am very flexible with my approach and pay close attention to the specific needs of each of the students with whom I work. I am able to explain concepts in detail, going beyond the strict requirements of the syllabus or specification where this is required and appropriate.

I am very patient and will take the time to carefully explain concepts and work at a pace that the students is comfortable with. I am always happy to provide clarification or to explain things in several ways to give different perspectives.

I enjoy working with people from all backgrounds to help them achieve and even exceed their expectations.
