I have an MA in Classical Philology and Russian Studies from the University of St Petersburg and am qualified to teach Russian, French, English and Latin. Since graduating in 1978 I have worked extensively in language teaching and translation / interpreting. I have also worked in France for 3 years and attended an interpreting school in Paris (ISIT - Institut Superieur d' Interpretation et de Traduction). I am a highly qualified mathematician with years of experience tutoring GCSE and A Level Maths. I am an enthusiastic professional, supportive, patient and friendly tutor who aims to help my students enjoy the subject, become confident in their subject and ultimately achieve improved grades.

Teaching Experience:
I have extensive experience in tutoring boys and girls of all ages for Maths GCSE and A level. I have a comprehensive knowledge of all current maths qualifications including the specifications for GCSE and A Level Maths offered by various exam boards. From first time exam takers to mature students needing to pass maths exams in order to progress to a chosen university course or in their career I am able to assist them in achieve better than expected grades.
I have a First-Class BSc Honours degree in maths and taught maths at University. I also come from a Business background in Computer Software where I taught mathematical concepts and developed analytics so I can talk authoritatively about maths in Business.

My tutoring is tailored to the individual pupil helping them to build on strengths and find understanding and confidence in overcoming perceived weaknesses.
