Personal Description:
Currently I offer French, Spanish and Italian private tuition to adults requiring languages for work or leisure. I teach from home or via Zoom. I love teaching languages and I have lots of materials of my own available to make lessons fun. I'm very patient with an easy-going outlook and am happy to go at any pace, however slow, to make students feel at ease during lessons.

Teaching Experience:
I have taught languages to all ages from infant school pupils through to adults for over 30 years. Starting out as a secondary school teacher, I moved on to become a part-time lecturer at Stratford-upon-Avon College teaching EFL, languages for leisure and GCSE.

I can tailor classes and sessions to suit individual requirements.

I hold a Physics Degree from Oxford University and am now a commercial airline pilot. I have extensive experience tutoring over the past fifteen years and also spent three years teaching future airline pilots for their ground school exams.

I lived in Paris for 7 years where I worked at ELLE, the well known women's fashion magazine, where I used solely French as well as a stint at Kantar Health and the majority of my time at the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris. I now have teaching experience and I have shadowed those who have done this for a job. I have worked voluntarily in a school teaching beginner's Italian. Having already worked as a conversation tutor in a private school, I feel I would excel in giving private lessons, given the chance.

I am currently Director of Music and organist at a church in Enfield, Freezywater and I enjoy conducting, performing, accompanying, rehearsing and sight-reading. I teach GCSE & A-Level online science and English lessons that are centred around mastering exam technique and each student's areas for improvement.

I have 3+ years of online tutoring experience, both GCSE and A-Level Science and English.

As I have completed A-Levels in both chemistry and biology, and achieved an A grade, I have abundant revision resources and an in-depth understanding of revision tips and tricks (that I've picked up over the years!) that will enable your child to succeed in their science learning journey.

Tutoring Approach:
My lessons are customised to each student's needs and will cover the topics they struggle with clearly and in detail. Exam technique is key for excelling in science, and this is what we'll focus on in my lessons. I will enable students to apply the content they learn in the classroom to an exam setting, as well as cover any areas missed by their teachers.
